Oh sweet and chunky Elise. <3

She was the cutest thing ever!!!  And her parents were the sweetest first time parents I ever did meet.

Their love and joy for their baby girl was palpable.

I loved every minute I spent with them and their beautiful daughter.

And her little chin dimple…. the cutest little detail I’ve ever seen!

LOVED her!

I love maternity sessions.  Like, reallllly love them.  Especially for first time parents.

There is nothing like their loving anticipation.  The excitement for the unknown.

The eagerness to hold their precious little child in their arms for the first time.

And I love that I get to capture it.  What might be the most exciting time of their life up to that moment.

What an honor and a true privilege.

Sometimes I’m just amazed at this job.

We had the perfect summer night for this session.  Pair that with my most favorite Fort Wayne location, and you get a photographers dream. 🙂

Yes, we may have been rained out previously, but it was totally  meant to be.  Because we were blessed with the most beautiful sunset ever.

Alberta’s, I cannot wait to meet that baby!!!

Liz

When one of my dearest friends from high school asked me to do her son’s senior photos, I was honored.

We had spent countless hours of our youth together, laughing and laughing and laughing some more. 😆

Her late father, who Michael was named after, played a big part in my faith formation as a teenager. I can see a bit of him in Michael’s smile.

It was such a treat to meet him and to document this special time in his life.

Of this I’m sure, your grandpa would be so proud of you and your accomplishments Michael.❤️

Liz

PS.  I LOVE it when I can sneak a football into some pics. 🙂  Especially since Michael is the quarterback of Snider High School’s football team.  Good luck Michael this football season!!!  And good luck with your senior year.  I know that you will go on to do amazing things.

Guys, when I say I had to work for these smiles… I mean I REALY had to W O R K for these smiles!

I pulled out all the stops for this kid.  And made a complete fool of myself doing so.  So rest assured mama’s out there… I promise you that I will do my ABSOLUTE best to get your children to give me an authentic smile for you.

But…. brace yourselves here…. even if we only get serious faces, I am often times ok with that too.

Sometimes I’ve even found myself more drawn to the non smiling, non posed images.  They are real.  They are raw and authentic.  They are often times the moments that our minds will remember in years to come.

Little ones playing with their beloved toys, or running through the weeds, or crying for their moms… all of it.

I want to capture all of it.  So even though I got some great smiles out of little Henry here, I wouldn’t be sad if I didn’t.

Oh and I almost forgot, I didn’t tell you guys about how I got my Excursion stuck in the mud at the beginning of this session.  Yup, that happened.

I made this poor mom (who was very pregnant at the time) climb out of my car and step into the mud… it was an epic mess.  I’m so glad we could laugh about it!!!!!

It was pretty darn funny. 🙂

Thanks Kaitlin for going with the flow… and drudging through the mud with me.

My first Class of 2018 Senior of the year, and was she ever a beauty!

Rileigh, you are the sweetest girl ever.  I’m so glad you opted for the new hair/make up service for your senior session.

I was honored that you came to Fort Wayne for your session as you are a Huntington North High School student.  I just loved your style and the locations were a perfect match for your adorable outfits.

I especially love the American flag shot at the end, which was so perfect for July!!  You truly are an all American girl. 🙂

I hope that you love your photos as much as I do!

I wish you all the best in your senior year.  Go out there and make some amazing memories!

Liz
